Change is good, it helps one grow. Prior to starting Live It I had been the Director of Trinity College’s Italian Elderhostel programs and while this was enjoyable I knew in my heart that I needed a change. I wanted to pursue my own dream of sharing my love of Italy with others by arranging luxury travel. Over the years it has been a pleasure to work with so many of you. I have enjoyed every moment, from the very first conversation when we discuss your dream vacation through the planning of every detail to ensure that your trip is just what you want, and of course afterward when I receive your photos and emails telling me how enjoyable your trip was.
However, as the years passed I once again knew a change was needed, that something more needed to be done. When something consumes you so completely, it’s time to listen. As I dreamt about Italy and Live It, I also reflected on the need to change the company. I needed to be able to share Italy in new ways and more often. To all of you have stayed with me along the way, THANK YOU! You really do make this adventure a pleasure for me. To those who are new and just discovering what I have to offer, welcome!
L’Esperta is not just a new name or just a new website. It is an expansion of my love for Italy. It will be a warm and welcoming place for those who would like to get away to Italy, either literally or virtually. The new website (www.lesperta.com) not only contains information about our fabulous travel planning but now includes a blog where I share my love of travel and Italy on a weekly basis. I hope to share my thoughts on travel, life in Italy and how to bring la dolce vita into your life every day.
So many of you have told me you love our One Minute Getaways, so I will be keeping those but I’ve added a feature to the site called Virtual Tours that will make you want to pack your bag pronto. We will add new tours regularly so check back often. Don’t forget to like us on Facebook where we share fun facts and tidbits of interest. We will also hold occasional contests to give away some of our favorite (Italian) things. And for those of you on Pinterest, we invite you to join us there – it is a perfect place to share those beautiful iconic images of Italy (not to mention some fabulous recipes!). That and so much more is in the works so be sure to check back often and don’t forget to share the Italian amore with your friends. You know they will thank you for it!
